The Nunavik Research Centre provides answers to Nunavimmiut worries about their natural environment and wildlife, including country food. The main objective of my work is to monitor wildlife diseases, particularly zoonoses like toxoplasmosis, trichinellosis, echinococcosis, anisakiasis and rabies. Our goal is to do research on site, in Kuujjuaq, to offer rapid diagnosis and develop capacity and knowledge in Nunavik, for Nunavik inhabitants. We also collaborate with various organizations that address issues relevant to Northern wildlife and Northern public health.
